Which link formats are supported?

Why is the max-resolution thumbnail sometimes unavailable?

YouTube only generates maxresdefault and sddefault for high-resolution uploads. Those two are marked as not guaranteed, and the page tells you if one fails to load.

Does OmniTools proxy the images?

No. The thumbnail URL is constructed from the video ID and loaded directly from YouTube. Nothing passes through our servers.
